![]() Ongoing updates have been welcomed by fans, but so far, they've largely failed to make Among Us the sensational title that it once was. Still, Among Us' popularity has waned significantly since its peak, in spite of several high-profile crossovers with the indie game. The original Among Us has reaped notable benefits from the shift, gaining new roles, maps, and progression sytems for fans to enjoy. ![]() Since that surge, Innersloth cancelled plans to make an Among Us sequel, instead directing its energy into large-scale updates for the first game. Among Us proved to be a great multiplayer title for the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in 2020, exploded in popularity with the help of Twitch streamers and YouTubers giving the colorful secret traitor title a chance. Released in 2018, Innersloth's social deduction game failed to make a splash at first the indie developer has even mentioned that it had largely given up on Among Us shortly after its launch. But I am pretty sure that TB was pissed off with Riot to his death for how they treated him even though he kickstarted LoL in the early days.Among Us has been on quite the journey in the last few years. In the end they gave both some reference items with Athene getting Athenes Holy Grail and TB getting a health item. Athene, the „do it for the kidzzz“ guy, also managed to get the amount needed and was shot down. The whole thing turned sour and TB publically denounced Riot a few times and said he‘d never do any more LoL content because of how they behaved. But when TotalBiscuit reached that number they wanted to back out of it and tried to deny most of the perks like creating his own champion. They thought it would be a nice marketing gimmick but nobody would ever get 1000 referals if I remeber the number correctly. In the early days Riot had no clue how successful LoL could become and how much force could be behind gaming youtubers back in 2010.
